2.2 Possessive Pronouns & Adjectives

Malas nak ulang nama? Pakai pronoun! I, you, he, she, it, we, they — pengganti noun power!

Langkah 1/4

1Possessive Adjective (tunjuk milik + noun)

  • Possessive adjective tunjuk milik, mesti ada noun di belakang 📦
  • Senarai: my, your, his, her, its, our, their
  • Kedudukan

    1Possessive adjective
    2Noun
3Contoh: my book, her bag, their house
  • *"This is my pencil."* — my + pencil (noun) ✏️
  • *"The dog wags its tail."* — its + tail 🐕
  • Eh, tahu tak? Jangan keliru: "its" (milik) TAKDE apostrof, tapi "it's" (= it is) ADA apostrof. "The cat licks its paw" vs "It's a cat." Dua benda berbeza!
Tip Power: Silap klasik: 'your' vs 'you\'re'. 'your book' = buku awak (milik). 'you\'re' = you are. Dengar makna dulu baru pilih!

Check Kilat — faham ke tak?

Fill in the blank: "This is ___ house." (belonging to me, followed by a noun)

Possessive Adjective (tunjuk milik + noun)

  • Possessive adjective tunjuk milik, mesti ada noun di belakang 📦
  • Senarai: my, your, his, her, its, our, their
  • Kedudukan: Possessive adjectiveNounContoh: my book, her bag, their house
  • *"This is my pencil."* — my + pencil (noun) ✏️
  • *"The dog wags its tail."* — its + tail 🐕
  • Eh, tahu tak? Jangan keliru: "its" (milik) TAKDE apostrof, tapi "it's" (= it is) ADA apostrof. "The cat licks its paw" vs "It's a cat." Dua benda berbeza!

Tip Power! Silap klasik: 'your' vs 'you\'re'. 'your book' = buku awak (milik). 'you\'re' = you are. Dengar makna dulu baru pilih!

Possessive Pronoun (tunjuk milik, TANPA noun)

  • Possessive pronoun berdiri sendiri — TAK perlu noun di belakang 🧍
  • Senarai: mine, yours, his, hers, its, ours, theirs
  • Possessive ADJECTIVE (+noun)

    • This is my bag.
    • my, your, her, our

    Possessive PRONOUN (no noun)

    • This bag is mine.
    • mine, yours, hers, ours
  • *"This book is mine."* — habis, tak perlu noun lagi 📕
  • *"Whose pen is this? It's hers."* — hers ganti "her pen" ✒️
  • Silap klasik: *"This is mine book"* ❌ → *"This is my book"* atau *"This book is mine"* ✅

Cara ingat: Ada noun belakang → guna 'my/your/her' (adjective). Takde noun, berdiri sorang → guna 'mine/yours/hers' (pronoun).

Possessive dengan 's

  • Untuk tunjuk milik nama orang, tambah 's: *Ali's bag, Sara's cat* 🎒
  • 's = benda kepunyaan orang / haiwan itu
  • Cara guna 's: Nama pemilikTambah 'sNoda bendaContoh: the teacher's table
  • Kalau plural dah tamat -s, letak apostrof je: *the boys' room* (bilik budak lelaki) 🚪
  • *"This is Ahmad's book."* — buku milik Ahmad 📗
  • Eh, tahu tak? Tanda ' (apostrof) memang kecik tapi penting! "the girls bags" (tiada apostrof) nampak macam salah — betulnya "the girls' bags" untuk beg beberapa orang perempuan.

Tip Power! Tanya 'Whose?' (milik siapa?) untuk uji possessive. Whose book? Ali's book. Whose is it? It's his / It's Ali's.
